The Broadcast Film Critics Association’s Critics Choice Awards, sort of the poor man’s Golden Globe, have given a record 10 nominations apiece to “Inglourious Basterds” and “Nine,” both from the financially-struggling Weinstein Co. But all those nods for “Nine” interestingly didn’t include the film’s director, Rob Marshall, nor its male star, Daniel Day-Lewis. There were nine nominations (the first so far this season) for “Avatar,” including director James Cameron, with eight apiece for “Up in the Air” and “The Hurt Locker.” Which means essentially nothing, though the Critics Choice Awards probably mimic Oscar’s categories more than any other.
