I’m now convinced that Danny Boyle’s dazzling “Slumdog Millionaire” is going to take one of the five slots for Oscar’s Best Picture. I saw it for the first time since Toronto last week and it positively blew me away. Expect nods also for Boyle and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy. Warners was smart to hand off this Bollywood-inflected gem, which was financed by the defunct Warner Independent, to Fox Searchlight for domestic release. Here’s my four star review that appeared in today’s print edition of The Post.
