Is “The Princess and the Frog” worth as much as $50 a ticket for its exclusive engagement at the Ziegfeld begining Nov. 25, as I report exclusively today in The Post’s print edition?  Please let me know what you think. That 50 bucks also includes the “Ultimate Disney Experience” at the Roseland Ballroom — kids will likely a few homeless people on their way over from Sixth Avenue — as well as some Mardi Gras Beads and a lithograph. Disney reps tell me the $50 tickets, which they consider quite a value, are selling like hotcakes. Thirty dollar non-reserved seats also available without the latter swag at the movie’s website, and $20 tickets are being offered to groups. (The same prices hold at a new theater at Disney’s Burbank studio, since the Disney-owned El Capitan in downtown L.A. is tied up with “Disney’s Christmas Carol”). The pevious record price for a Manhattan movie ticket for an exclusive run was “Dreamgirls” at the Ziegfeld three years, where $30 included a souvenir booklet and a costume display in the lobby. Of course, you could wait until the exclusive run ends on Dec. 13 and see it for regular prices, too. To give you a feel for the movie — Disney’s first with an African-American “princess” — here’s a link to the film’s first five minutes, which have been circulating this week on You Tube, apparently with Disney’s blessing. Because there is some unfinished footage, I’m not going to comment. But I’d love to see your opinions about this sneak peek, as well as the $50 tickets, which I learned about from a direct-mail brouchure inviting me to buy tickets in Burbank.
