Jacques Audiard’s powerful crime drama “A Prophet” headed the nominations on Friday for the Cesar awards, France’s version of the Oscars, Reuters reports.

The dark thriller was named in 13 categories for the ceremony on Feb. 27, including best film, best director and best actor (newcomer Tahar Rahim). The film opens in New York on Feb. 12.
