(2) On the other side of pond, “Death Proof” is No. 2 in DVD sales during its first week, beaten by the schmaltzy Matthew McConaughey sports flick “We Are Marshall,” which passed through theaters virtually unnoticed last December. In rentals, “Death Proof” ranks No. 6. (3) QT is telling interviewers he wants to make an homage to European soft-core porn of the ’70s, and faciliate a movie comeback for Ringo Starr.
