In my Thursday piece about shocking films at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, I recalled the sad story of “Raw Deal,” a graphic documentary about a fraternity house rape case that made front page headlines in The Post back in 2001. The film was acquired and subsequently dropped by its distributor. But there was a belated happy ending, I’m told. The filmmakers sued to get the rights back and the documentary — which covers a case with eerie similiarities to the Duke University controvery — is finally available on DVD.
