Almost equally impressive is the psychedelic closing production number, set to Faye’s rendition of “The Polka Dot Polka” and climaxing with the disembodied heads of the entire cast (including Charlotte Greenwood, Edward Everett Horton and Eugene Pallette), singing Harry Warren’s “Journey to a Star.” “The Gang’s All Here” received a major theatrical revival in the early 1970s at what then known as the Playboy Theatre (now the DGA) with IB prints showing off Edward Cronjager’s dazzling Technicolor cinematography.
