Today’s Times of London complained that its critics weren’t allowed into the world premiere of “Sex and the City” and pointed out that’s “rarely a sign of confidence in the finished product.” But the Times did manage to sneak in a (male) feature writer who filed a two-star (out of five) review for their website. “There may be a problem with stretching Sex and the City into a two hour and twenty minute film – it can feel like a never ending dinner party: however pleasant the courses, after a while you can hardly eat another one,” writes Will Pavia, whose “first review” is a lot less gushing than some others by non-professional reviewers, though he noted women in the audience seemed to like it just fine.
