When a studio pulls the plug on a movie, it only makes sense to release a new trailer for the flick, right?
In Sony’s case, the answer is yes.
A new 30-second spot for “The Interview” hit the web Thursday, featuring unseen footage of the now-scrapped feature.
Running on the tagline “In Franco and Rogen we trust,” the clip shows the “Neighbors” star in a tanker as he and his cohort attempt to fulfill the CIA’s wishes of offing North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jung-un. And based on the video that leaked yesterday, we’d say mission accomplished.
While “The Interview” is still set for a Christmas Day release per the trailer, we all know that’s clearly not the case.
