Eat your heart out New York! It’s a comparatively balmy 30 degrees here in Park City, with bright sunlight that makes it feel like it’s perhaps 40. The dramatic competition got off to a modest start at the Eccles with Lynn Shelton’s mildly amusing “Humpday,” sort of a Mumblecore-ish version of “You, Me and Dupree” with the hook of possible man-on-man action. Thirtysomething guy Ben (Mark Duplass of “Baghead,” “The Puffy Chair”) planning to start a family with his new wife (Alycia Delmore) suddenly has his world-wandering, wild-child college buddy Andrew (Joshua Leonard) turn up on their Seattle doorstep. During a drunken evening at the home of some pansexual friends, these two avowed heterosexuals decide to make a “post-gay” porn movie together for an art festival. The morning after, neither really wants to go through with it — but their egos won’t permit them to be the first to back out. Ben doesn’t want to be thought of as a square, and Andrew has never really finished anything in his life. Will they or won’t they go through with it? My lips are sealed.
