Yes, it’s time to break out that parka picture from 2001. This year’s Sundance coverage begins with a print-edition interview with Adam Eliot, the Aussie who directed tonight’s opening night feature in Park City, “Mary and Max.” He tells how Philip Seymour Hoffman, as Max, literally phoned in his performance for the claymation feature. And there’s also my list of some hot titles. I arrived in Park City last night after a blessly uneventual journey and am headed out to my ritual first breakfast at the Cafe Off Main. Then a trip to the press office, which is a few hundred yards from my room at the Park City Marriott.
