Tales of Transylvania

On the positive side, I laughed out loud watching “I Always Wanted to Be a Gangster,” a French black comedy about inept crooks shot in black and white in the deadpan style of Aki Kaurismaki (of Finland) and Jim Jarmusch. The director is Samuel Benchetrit, whose previous work is not known to me. The film deserves a run in New York, if the folks at Kino and Sony Classics are listening.
