The “Entourage” movie opened Wednesday, and it’s unclear whether it will win the weekend. But one trophy it’s already captured is the prize for the most hilariously mocked movie of 2015.
For months, comedians and haters have been lighting up Twitter and Facebook, skewering the movie about the debaucherous adventures of four friends in Hollywood.
Deadspin dubbed it the “hate-watching event of the summer.”
With its laddie antics, loads of bare boobs and a wealth-obsessed mentality left over from the early aughts, there’s just something easy to make fun of about “Entourage.”
“Wouldn’t be too surprised if the craft services table on Entourage was just 10 different kinds of roofies,” TV writer Guy Endore-Kaiser tweeted.
Even the guys behind the excellent “Honest Trailers” got into the act this week with this gem.
The assault has apparently gotten so bad that writer-director Doug Ellin was forced to play defense, saying the movie is for “real people,” not “bitter guys sitting on their Twitter accounts.”
