As people young and old continue to go crazy amid the buzz surrounding the release of the new “Star Wars: Episode VII” trailer, folks have been using the Force to bid on prized memorabilia once only seen in a galaxy far, far away.
Among the items being snatched up at auction: a replica blaster rifle used by Boba Fett.Caters News Agency A recent auction in the UK saw a slew of iconic Star Wars items sold — including a replica blaster rifle used by the infamous bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
The pristine prop was listed between $430 to $644 at Aston’s and was accompanied by a plaque signed by the two actors who played the character in “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan.
Other items included replica lightsabers, Clone Trooper helmets, action figures, a Rebel Snowspeeder and even an exact copy of the headgear worn by Darth Vader himself.
There were around 150 to 160 different lots in the auction, containing items from the entire saga (so far).
“It’s rare to find such a complete collection,” said Chris Aston, managing director at Aston’s Auctioneers.
