The truth about ‘Inception’
I finally got around to seeing “Inception.” In light of the glowing reviews from my fellow critics, I expected a masterpiece of sorts. Was I disappointed! Christopher Nolan’s film is a series of good-looking action sequences, but nothing more. No plausible plot, no character development, no smart dialogue, and not a single person I cared about. (I still don’t know what function Ellen Page’s student was supposed to serve.) As a summer action movie “Inception” is perfectly fine, but if you’re looking for something with substance, this isn’t it.
