The naysayers said nay, but “Avatar” turned out to attract a few people to theaters. Now Fox announces that it and James Cameron have agreed to do two sequels to “Avatar” together, with the first one due as soon as 2012 (that sounds optimistic to me) and the second following in 2014. I’m still trying to figure out how the evil corporation’s super high-tech flying machines were brought down by simple Ewok-style bow-and-arrow attacks from the Na’vi. Maybe the answer is coming in the next movie?
