Thanks to a new trailer, Spider-Man fans have another sneak peek of what they can expect when “The Amazing Spider-Man” hits theaters this summer.

The trailer, a departure from the three previous Spidey blockbusters starring Tobey Maguire, is an improvement over an earlier version released last summer: Aside from the typical shots of Spider-Man swinging through the city streets, we catch snippets of Peter Parker being bullied during his school days and also meet the film’s villain, Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) and Peter Parker’s love interest, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone).

The flick, starring Andrew Garfield, swoops into theaters July 3.
