Woody Allen‘s asking price for his appearance in a U.S. ad is $10 million, he says in a deposition. As part of his suit against American Apparel’s appropriating this image of him from “Bananas” for billboards without permission, Woody ripped AA for its “low-end” clothing and its “sleazy,” “infantile” and “adolescent ads,” reports my colleague Bruce Golding in today’s Post. AA’s lawyers responded that Woody was not exactly in high demand for endorsements since he scandalized America by leaving girlfriend Mia Farrow nearly two decades ago for his stepdaughter Soon-Yi Farrow, who he later married. It didn’t exactly help the box office for his films either. The Woodman’s latest, “Whatever Works,” will have its “world premiere” at the Tribeca Film Festival after bowing at ShoWest last week.
