Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (“Milk”) has all but confirmed that Clint Eastwood’s upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biography will drag the longtime FBI director out of the closet. The Post’s PopWrap blog asked the openly gay Black whether the film would address rumors about Hoover’s homosexuality and crossdressing, something we mused about here a couple of weeks back. “Well, look who you’re talking to,” Black told PopWrap with what was described as a smirk. “I wrote the script … what do you think?” No actor has been cast as Hoover, who was played by Billy Crudup in last year’s “Public Enemies” and Broderick Crawford in Larry Cohen’s “The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover” (1977).
