I’ve already put in my request for Sony to make a comedy spinoff of “The Social Network” starring Armie Hammer as the Winklevoss twins. And noted here that a sequel to “True Grit” is already there for the re-making.

Given that “Black Swan” is poised to cross the $100 million mark at the box office in the United States alone, you’d better believe they’ve begin talking about a possible sequel at Fox Searchlight.

I doubt Darren Aronofsky would be interested, except to collect a paycheck as an executive producer. And if Natalie Portman wins the Oscar, which seems highhly likely, I doubt she’s going to be available anytime soon — and her paycheck would probably be close to the reported, entire $13 million budget for “Black Swan” if she was.

So I’m thinking a sequel if it happens would likely be more of  a flat-out horror movie starring Mila Kunis, who didn’t get an Oscar nomination but will likely get a nice payday if she signed on for a signed on for a reprise.

I’m not sure anyone knows for certain that her character exists except in Portman’s imagination, or who for that matter actually survives at the end of the movie. But the writers of a sequel would sure have a lot of leeway under the circumstances.
