Interesting quote from Woody Allen in Page Six today. Referring to his muse Scarlett Johansson, the Woodman told Macleans magazine, that she’s “so beautiful and so sexy and so gifted..she can do anything, but she has to make the right choices of films and she’s got to not go the Page Six paryty route. I don’t want to read about her in the paper about this boyfriend or that boyfriend or in rehab or taking pills.” Woody goes on with a surprising reference to a long-ago co-star: “I don’t think [Scarlett’s] always made great choices. She has to take acting seriously…the way someone like Meryl Streep did it.” Presumably, Woody means the same Streep who reportedly vowed never to work with Allen again after one of her least favorite roles, as his lesbian ex-wife in “Manhattan.”
