IT’S no jive – Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke danced into the winners’ circle last night on the grand finale of “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC.

The 29-year-old former member of the boy band 98 Degrees – and younger brother of Nick “Mr. Jessica Simpson” Lachey – whooped with joy when co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris gave him the news that he had won.

“I’m the luckiest man in the world right now,” said Lachey, referring to both his “Dancing with the Stars” trophy and his wife, Lea, who is set to deliver the couple’s first child, a daughter, any day now. She sat in the front row with Drew’s big brother, Nick.

Drew and Burke, his sassy, raven- haired professional partner, clinched the victory with their final dance, a rousing jive routine set to the Elvis Presley song “Hound Dog.” The routine ended with Lachey leaping dramatically over his partner’s head.

The announcement that they’d won came at the end of a drawn-out two-hour episode in which three final couples competed for the top spot.

One of them – statuesque lady wrestler Stacy Keibler, 26, and pearly-toothed pro Tony Dovolani – was eliminated halfway through the telecast.

“This has been a life-moving experience,” said a tearful Keibler when she heard she was out. “I’m already a winner – all of us are!” she said.

That left Lachey and Burke, along with NFL great Jerry Rice, 43, and his partner, Russian beauty Anna Trebunskaya, still in the running.

But when the scores were tallied, Lachey and Burke were the clear winners.

On the judges’ scorecards, they had a total of 87 points to Rice and Trebunskaya’s 80. Those scores were combined with votes entered by viewers to produce a victory for Lachey. (The viewer-vote tallies were not announced.)

Rice, a fierce competitor and future pro football Hall-of-Famer, wanted badly to win, but was gracious in defeat.

“My hat goes off to Drew and Cheryl,” he said. “It’s well deserved. I’m happy for them.”
