The truly devoted start staking out their places at 7 a.m., but there’s always enough lawn for all when the New York Philharmonic plays the parks.

This summer’s free concerts kick off Wednesday night at 8 on Central Park’s Great Lawn, where the British-born Bramwell Tovey conducts Dvorak, Sibelius, Bruch and more.
