Alkaline Trio has released the music video for the band’s first single off their upcoming disc, “This Addiction” (due Feb. 23).

Set against the fields of Ventura County, Calif., the video is meant to portray two sides of a heart colliding in a “vibrant burst of color.”

Translated, this means “Lord of the Flies”-like children playing a modified version of Red Rover, exploding into brightly colored feathers when they hit each other. With Alkaline Trio performing in the background.

It’s pretty awesome – and the song ain’t bad neither.
