New Zealand’s Gin Wigmore is back in action, this time with the Cardinals – as in Ryan Adams and the Cardinals. Perhaps you’ll recognize the platinum blonde from her recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Maybe you’ve heard her snappy, attitude-laced single “Oh My” on the radio or downloaded it on iTunes recently.

Whatever the case, tonight’s the night when you can see the smoky-voiced 24-year-old singing live. She’s playing an intimate gig at Mercury Lounge tonight (April 26) at 7 p.m., supporting her recently released album, “Holy Smoke.” She recorded it with the Cardinals, which explains why she’s performing with them tonight.

The album – Gin’s first full-length disc – is already triple platinum Down Under, which means a lot of people think it’s pretty damn good. As further incentive for you to go buy it, there’s a song on it called “Hey Ho.” Amazing.
