Some background on Correia: She bummed around town, penning tunes alongside greats like Jeff Buckley, Paula Cole, Jesse Harris and Rebecca Martin – unsurprisingly, she got a major label deal and toured around the country with John Hiatt, Richard Thompson and Keb Mo. Two albums later, she went the indie route and self-released her third album, “You Go Your Way,” which she paid for using $37,000 that her fans raised.
