The worst-kept secret in the NFL is finally out: Katy Perry is to play the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show.
After weeks of speculation, the singer confirmed she would be appearing and teased some potential themes in a new trailer released by the show’s sponsor, Pepsi.
It seems as though Perry will be adding her famously candy-coated touch to football’s biggest night. The clip features her testing out ideas in a giant warehouse and some of those mentioned are unicorns, edible glitter, fire-breathing sharks and, of course, kittens. Thousands of them.
Super Bowl XLIX takes place on Feb. 1, 2015, in Glendale, Arizona.
