Peter Criss, drummer/vocalist and original “Catman” of KISS, announced today that he was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. But, thanks to early detection, he’s cancer-free now.
Compelled to talk about it because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month now (October) , Criss says he wants to remind the world that breast cancer isn’t just a lady problem.
“I wanted to let you know that men get it like women do,” Criss said. “Don’t be afraid to let someone know if you have a lump. Do the right thing for you and your loved ones and get it checked. Man or woman, there is no discrimination with breast cancer…we all don’t have nine lives.”
