The “Yellow Flicker Beat” goes on.

On the week of her 18th birthday, Lorde has revealed her new video for the lead single taken from the “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1” soundtrack.

It’s a stark, moody clip that captures the Kiwi (real name Ella Yelich-O’Connor) performing mostly in isolation on a dark road, in a huge warehouse and in a grubby motel room. Anyone looking for clues about the movie itself will be disappointed, but check out Lorde’s new pompadour look — it’s very Janelle Monáe-meets-La Roux.

The full, Lorde-curated soundtrack to “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1” (featuring “Yellow Flicker Beat”) will be released Nov. 17, and the movie itself follows Nov. 21.
