Ozzy Osbourne is doing just fine, everyone.
Reports of the 71-year-old Black Sabbath frontman’s declining health spurred his daughter Kelly, 35, to set the record straight on social media.
“Today I had a wonderful start to 2020. I went out to lunch with my family. Then I spent the rest of the day laughing and hanging out with my dad. I come home to read sickening articles about my dad supposedly being on his ‘death bed.’ ”
The daughter of Ozzy and wife Sharon, 67, said the reports of him being near death are completely false. A video of Ozzy and Sharon surfaced Wednesday of the two filling up their Rolls-Royce at a gas station, with Sharon even mentioning the release of his next solo album.
The couple’s son, Jack, 34, also shared a photo of the happy family celebrating Christmas together.
“Sometimes the media makes me sick!” Kelly vented in her Instagram Story. “It’s no secret that my dad has had a rough year when it comes to his health but come the f - - k on, this is utter bulls - - t.
Multiple outlets reported that the so-called Prince of Darkness was “bedridden in agonizing pain and losing his marbles.”
In October, the metal icon — who famously bit the head of a bat onstage in 1982 — revealed that his back was in pain from a fall earlier in the year. He also suffered from a bout of pneumonia last year and was hospitalized for complications from the flu. But he presided over performances from admirers, including Travis Scott and Post Malone at the American Music Awards at Microsoft Theater on Nov. 24, 2019.
However, he has canceled some European tour dates that were scheduled for January and February, and told the Daily Mail that his back problems were indeed severe.
“I went to the bathroom in the night, lost my balance and landed flat on my face,” he said at the time. “I saw this big white flash when I hit the floor and I thought, ‘You’ve finally done it now.’ ”
Though he was in the hospital for two months following the fall, he made a full recovery and has insisted he’s got a lot of life ahead of him still, even creating memes of himself for his 5.3 million Twitter followers.
