From the first full-length trailer for “Pearl Jam Twenty,” it’s clear that the documentary has everything you’d expect. There’s unseen footage, a young Eddie Vedder leaping into the crowd, smashed guitars and of course a driving sound track.

And then there’s David Lynch. Yep, the filmmaker appears interviewing Vedder. He stumbles over his words to ask, “How old were you and where were you when, um, music started being a thing for you?”

Vedder stares into the distance, which leads to the terrific footage the film promises.

It’s due in theaters in September and then will air on PBS in October.
