Prince is on track to top the US album chart, Billboard said Friday, a day after his death at age 57.

“The Very Best of Prince” collection is expected to be No. 1 on the Billboard 200 sales chart, to be published Sunday.

The top spot would mark the icon’s fifth No. 1 and first since “3121,” his 31st studio album from 2006.

Prince died on the final day of the most recent chart-tracking week, so the chart will reflect the immediate surge in sales after his death.

Prince’s catalog also is a hot seller because his music has only limited availability on streaming services and YouTube. He streamed his music only on rap mogul Jay-Z’s Tidal.
