As a TV show, Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush” might be targeted towards the tween crowd, but as a musical entity, the band is pushing for a more diverse audience – and they might just have succeeded with the new version of the song “Boyfriend.”

Originally a fairly generic (but still good!) song about a guy trying to snare a girl’s attentions, it’s been bumped up to the next level, thanks to some lyrical smoothness courtesy of Snoop. Now, the track’s the kind of song that wouldn’t be out of place at a smoove club somewhere. (And I don’t mean the all-new tween/teen club at Paradise Island. Think older.)

If you liked that, don’t miss Snoop’s guest-starring role during the “Big Time Rush” Christmas special, where he sings the ridiculously weird “Yard Squirrel Christmas.” Don’t forget the rest of the
Big Time Rush album. And, of course, the TV show, which is actually really quite entertaining and possibly one of the funniest shows on TV. The actors-slash-singer are an enthusiastic riot.
