The Village People may not have been as vocally blessed as we thought: Victor Willis, best known as the cop in the disco band, is accusing some of his fellow group members of lip-syncing, a source revealed to TMZ.

The bombshell accusation comes after Willis, the original group leader who left in the early ’80s, signed a deal for a Lifetime made-for-TV movie based on his life. It’s unclear which Village People members he believes were miming their hit songs. The movie is set to air in 2016.

Willis is in the midst of attempting a comeback, having released a music video for his new single earlier this month.
