NYC ‘IDOL’ TRYOUT DATES

FOX will hold auditions for “American Idol” Aug. 17-19 in East Rutherford, the network said yesterday.

The tryout will be at the Izod Center in the Meadowlands.

About 20,000 people are expected to show up for a chance to be on the new season on the show.
