CELEBRITY eatery Mr. Chow is expanding to Miami Beach. Insiders tell us the Asian hot spot will serve its pink and green edibles-on-a-stick in the planned W Hotel South Beach.

Michael Chow, who owns eponymous dining outlets in New York, Beverly Hills, Seoul and London, is about to ink a deal for the 5,000-square-foot dining space in the hotel that will be completed at Collins and 23rd Street in 2007.

A spokeswoman for W Hotels would only say the name of their restaurant tenant has not been officially released.

Chow will further expand his empire in 2007 into Las Vegas, where he’s already signed a lease to open at the Hard Rock hotel.

* Elsewhere in Miami, famed restaurateur and nightclub impresario Nicola Siervo, the co-founder of Mynt lounge, and partner/hotelier Karim Masri have signed a lease on Lincoln Road to open upscale Italian eatery Quattro opening in December.

* The BLT franchise pushing southward.

Sources say BLT Prime – the newest of the group of eateries helmed by executive chef Laurent Tourondel (the LT), that include BLT Steak and BLT Fish – is expected to open in Washington, DC. More branches may follow. BLT’s spokeswomen said she was not aware of any expansion plans.

* Food scribe Steven Shaw, the founder of the Web site egullet.com, is dishing advice to the little guy who can’t always get a reservation, prime table or a pleasant experience.

In his upcoming book “Turning the Tables: Restaurants from the Inside Out,” (HarperCollins) he lists 10 ways to enrich one’s dining adventure.

A couple of his nuggets include:

* Become a regular. “Pick the one you like the best and visit 10 times – and make sure they notice you.”

* Be persistent when making reservations. “Never give up until the date has come and gone.”

A fancy release party will take place at Tavern on the Green on Aug. 16. Good luck getting in there.
