Phyllis and Harold
Video artist Cindy Kleine’s fascination with her Long Island parents’ stormy 59-year marriage led her to make the self-indulgent documentary “Phyllis and Harold.”
Using a mix of interviews conducted over 12 years, vintage family movies, rediscovered love letters, even animation, she tracks the couple’s life together.
My only question: Why does Kleine — who’s married to Andre Gregory of “My Dinner With Andre” fame — think that anybody outside her family gives a damn?
