The height of B-movie camp, with Eleanor Parker as a pregnant teen sent to women’s prison, where she endures all manner of degradation, has her baby taken away, and is thrown into solitary by a sadistic prison matron. Best line ever: “Line up, you tramps. This ain’t no upstairs delicatessen.” Perfect!

LORD JIM (1965)

Saturday, 2:45 p.m., TCM

During a storm, young British officer, Lord Jim (Peter O’Toole) abandons ship and escapes in a lifeboat along with the crew. Only thing is, he has left behind a shipload of passengers — Muslims on their way to Mecca — to drown with the foundering ship. When the lifeboat reaches shore however, so does the ship full of the surviving passengers he abandoned.
