Salman Rushdie is going Hollywood.

“The Satanic Verses” author will write and produce a new series for Showtime called “Next People” which will examine “different aspects of contemporary American life,” according to deadline.com.

The Indian-born Rushdie splits his time between London and New York and “is a major American culture buff,” according to the report.
