BETHANY Hamilton, otherwise known as “The Shark Girl,” will appear in an upcoming episode of ABC Family’s “Switched,” according to People magazine’s “Insider” column.

Hamilton, who’s now 14, was 13 when her left arm was bitten off by a shark last October while she was surfing in Hawaii.

The story made headlines around the world, and Bethany became a minor celebrity, appearing on Fox News Channel, in People magazine and on “Inside Edition.”

In the episode of “Switched” – in which kids from different walks of life trade places – Bethany will switch for five days with a teen who will travel to Hawaii to learn how to surf.
