Simon Cowell has signed a 10-year-old to a record deal.

Cowell was so impressed by Heather Russell’s rendition of “Every Step of the Way” — which her mom posted on YouTube — that he signed her to his Syco UK record label.

Russell, who hails from Toronto, became an Internet sensation after her mother posted the video less than a year ago.

“Simon just loved her,” a spokesman said. “He said she was amazingly talented from the first time he saw her.”

Heather says her musical influences are Justin Timberlake, Queen and Prince.
