You’ll get a surprising an swer when asking “Breaking Bad” co-star RJ Mitte (Walt Jr.) to name his favorite char acter on the Emmy-winning AMC series. “Gus,” he says, without hesitation, alluding to the clean-cut businessman, played by Giancarlo Es posito, who fronts a multi- million-dollar meth ring. “What is really going on with him? It’s scary, because Gus saved Walt’s (Bryan Cran ston) life but can take it away any time. You have two very smart businessmen in that situ ation . . . who will start to col lide.”

Mitte, 17, has played Walt Jr. for all three seasons of “Breaking Bad,” drawing crit ical kudos not just for his act ing, but for breaking new ground (he’s got mild cere bral palsy). “The character was already set to have that disability, but the actor was not,” he says of the show’s casting of Walt Jr.

Mitte, who just graduated high school (he’s from Louisi ana), says he plans to eventu ally attend college “after tak ing a little bit of a break” to pursue a Masters in business. And he says viewers should stay tuned for some changes in Walt Jr. as “BB” nears its June 13 season finale.

“You’re gonna see a big scene with Walt Jr. and Hank in later episodes,” he says, al luding to Hank Schrader (Dean Norris), Walt Sr.’s DEA brother-in- law who was shot up by a Mexican drug cartel. “Walt Jr. always looked up to his Uncle Hank . . . but you’re going to see a situation between Walt Jr. and Hank, and how mature Walt Jr. really is.”
