MTV will air a new season of its popular reality series “Teen Mom” with a new cast in January.

“Teen Mom” follows the lives of teenage girls during their first year of motherhood. The new cast members were chosen from the Season 2 cast of “16 and Pregnant.”

The Post reported exclusively last month that a second-generation version of the hit series was in the works.

“Teen Mom 2” is currently in production for a Jan. 11 premiere, officials said yesterday.

The network could not confirm whether a third season with the current, original “Teen Mom” cast — which includes Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, Farrah Abraham and Amber Portwood — would air at the same time.

“We’re doing some continuous-type shooting with the original [cast], but nothing’s been announced yet about what we’ll do with that,” the producer said.
