WILL they or won’t they? That’s the question “Six Feet Under” fans are asking of Claire Fisher (Lauren Ambrose) and her new sexy art school chum, Edie (Mena Suvari), a self-assured (and cute-as-a-button) lesbian who seems to have the hots for the angst-ridden Claire. The two have been growing closer for several weeks and this week, they’re expected to get a whole lot closer. Or will they? Nothing is certain on “Six Feet Under,” except death and, of course, problems in the social lives of the Fishers, the dysfunctional family of undertakers around which this award-winning HBO series revolves. Besides Claire’s increasing attraction to the free-spirited Edie, big brother Nate (Peter Krause) is contemplating making a big adjustment in his off-again, on-again relationship with Brenda (Rachel Griffiths); gay brother David (Michael C. Hall) is still recovering from a vicious assault and; mom Ruth (Frances Conroy) is having second thoughts about her new husband, George (James Cromwell).
