THE battle for biggest TV set took a giant leap yesterday when Sharp introduced the world’s first 108-inch machine.

The company says the new LCD set – which stands about six-feet tall and eight-feet wide – will go on sale “this summer.”

But it’s not saying yet how much it will cost.

Last year, the big, big TV set was a mere 65 inch screen, which currently sells for about $7,000.
