‘The Over the Hill Band” is a Belgian riff on “The Golden Girls.” It re volves around Claire (Marilou Mermans), who is left with time on her hands when her husband drops dead at the wheel of his car after a run-in with a squeegee man.

So the 70-year-old reunites with the two other now-elderly women who once sang together as the Sisters of Love.

Claire’s middle-aged musician son, Sid (Jan van Looveren), offers to help, but only if the singing seniors use the hip-hop songs he writes — songs like “Me and My Morning Stiffness.”

As directed by Geoffrey Enthoven, “The Over the Hill Band” is predictable — the girls turn on to pot, Claire is hurt by a 60-something Romeo, and Sid’s suit-and-tie brother is outraged.

It’s also sugary and has a silly tear-jerker ending. But I found myself laughing at the film’s gentle humor, anyway.
