As soon as I saw Amy Adams charm her way through her songs in “Enchanted,” back in 2007, I knew she’d end up in a stage musical sooner rather than later. Then there was the awesome “Me Party” in the latest Muppets movie, a fierce disco number in which Adams proved that if needed, she could hold her own against any Broadway diva — she’d practiced with Miss Piggy, after all.

Lo and behold, today news has come that Adams is going to play the baker’s wife in “Into the Woods” at the Delacorte this summer. I for one am rooting for her, especially since I’m sure she’ll figure out a way to sing and move at the same time by July. Go, Amy!
