One of the best shows on Broadway right now is the delightful play with music “Brief Encounter” (see my review here). If you need more, check out this wicked parody by British comedian Victoria Wood. Warning: It’s much funnier if you’ve seen not only the stage adaptation, but David Lean’s 1945 movie. “We talked about everything under the sun: milkmen, Agatha Christie, event the manufacture of tea pots, I seem to remember.”
