The Propeller company’s excellent “Merchant of Venice” is playing at BAM only until May 17. A worthy trip, if you ask me, plus the Harvey Theater is one of the best places to see a play in New York.
Fun fact: It was only two weeks ago that Florida governor Charlie Crist signed a bill deleting mentions of “Shylock” and “shylocking” from state law. They were used in reference to loan-sharking of course.
