Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator, composer and star of the Broadway megahit “Hamilton,” will be hanging up his waistcoat and breeches next month, according to multiple reports.

Miranda will leave the cast of the musical after its July 9 performance to work on numerous other projects.

His exit will come less than a month after the Tony Awards. The show has been nominated for a record 16 awards. Miranda himself is up for three: for the book, score and his role as lead actor in a musical.

He has been in the show since its January 2015 off-Broadway opening at the Public Theater.

Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Miranda, 36, is eager to pursue other opportunities, including a new idea for another musical and a starring role in an upcoming Disney sequel to “Mary Poppins.”

He wrote music for the Disney animated movie “Moana,” which opens in November. And the Weinstein Co. has optioned the movie rights to his first Broadway show, “In the Heights.”
